She's finally here! Remember this fun announcement HERE ?!?!? The newest Ryals girl is here and she is super cute! I have also had the opportunity to have a session with her big sisters HERE. I love to have returning clients, it's amazing how fast kids grow! Say hello to baby "S!" Enjoy!
I've been working my fingers to the bone editing all day and guess what? It paid off! I am officially all caught up! However my personal photos are another story... We went out for a celebratory drink at cozy little pub called Queens Head. We also used the excuse to show a new friend what Hongdae is like. As we were waiting for our order I looked out the window and noticed a little cat! Then another and another...
I had a really fun photo session today! Any session involving a 2 week old baby is always so much fun. I've been working extra hard to get all my sessions finished before we head out on our vacation so I went straight home and have been working non stop!
Here's a little look at my work center... Not that exciting but I love what I do. I'm really hoping to start a full on photography business once we move back to the states! Am I ready?!?!?!
Today I decided I would go pay rent early since we are leaving on vacation soon. This little road I walk up is always an adventure in itself. Very busy and not a road you can look at your phone as your stroll along. People are usually parked along the side walk so you have to weave in and out off the already crowded streets. The vendors are out selling fruit and flowers, the delivery guys are trying to unload their goods in a timely manner. There's markets and restaurants all packed into this little road. During the summer season you are melting and the winter months you are freezing and trying to avoid sliding down the hill. We usually end up walking because it's always a pain to park. Here's a glimpse of what the early morning looks like.
Rhett is a boy of few words but his eyes say it all. We had fun running around and jumping on stones. Rhett was always first to the finish line and I was second... I was running with a camera after all... yes that's my excuse. Enjoy!
There is a place in Dongdaemun that everyone calls "Purse Heaven." (There is also sock heaven, shoe heaven, fabric galore, buttons, etc. You want it? They got it, LOADS of it! Just add heaven to what you want. lol) You do have to be cautious however, many of these venders give great prices because they sell in bulk. When you ask how much something is you also have to ask if they will sell it separately or "Many Many." I'm planning a Birthday Party and need to pick up a few things that are cheaper out in town. Before I went looking for party supplies I decided it couldn't hurt to hang out with some of my favorite Seoul pals and take a look at a purse or two...Enjoy!
Two great things about today; first thing was the Mr. got most of the day off work! (WOOOHOO) And the second great thing was today was a BEAUTIFUL day! Still on the windy side however it was fun to get outside and toss the Frisbee around for a bit. :)
Today the Mr. and I wandered the streets a bit after I introduced him toCafe Themselves! As we wondered we heard some music playing and decided to go see what what was going on. A little performance was happening and we walked up just in time for them to take a five minute break. I managed to get a quick video, I love their head gear.
The hubby came back home after a two week business trip. My favorite party of the day was snuggling up close and catching up on our favorite t.v. shows (How I Met Your Mother and Community) I bought us a treat of Ben & Jerry's and we enjoyed every last bite!
I went to visit my friend the other day and was greeted by two of the happiest doggies ever! Over on the couch drinking some milk was Bentley, you can't get mad at him though because he looks like a very cute old man. I also discovered he doesn't like to be photographed. Every time I pulled my camera out he would look away and completely ignore me! I figured if I put the cameras on the other two jumpers they would lick my camera to death. Oh doggies.
I think it's amazing how kids are growing up around this new technology and can figure out how to use our phones better then we can. My little 19 month God Son was waiting patiently while I tried to find the new baby App I had just downloaded. As I was looking for it he gently grabbed the phone and with a few flicks of his chubby finger he went straight to the folder I had it in. Kids are amazing. Or maybe just this kid because I love him so. :)
My moms boyfriend Babe has been in our family since I was three. His Birthday is also in April and this year I decided to do something extra special for his gift! He has always been a major part of my life, like a dad for me. He's the one who taught me how to ride my bike and took me to every single one of my "Father Daughter" dances in elementary school. Babe is also quite a bit older so everyone thought he was my Grandpa but I never cared. His favorite song is El Paso by Marty Robbins, I remember he would always play it for me on the piano. This year I have been taking piano lessons and for his Birthday surprise I'm going to play him El Paso on the piano! Unfortunately his Birthday party will be going on when I'm sound asleep and a million miles away. My sweet nephews are going to bring their laptops to the party and play the guitar along side me playing piano! (If anyone in my family is reading this PLEASE keep it a surprise...I'm pretty sure no on in my family reads my blog so I think I'm safe! hahah)
What happened to the warm weather? Yesterday I swear it was about to snow! Well if you are somewhere freezing like me, check out the Harber family. Their big smiles will warm your heart! I had a blast hanging out with these guys. They are very genuine and just all around great people to be around. Thank you guys!
