30!

This is it! My last video! In the states it is still April 4th however over here in South East Asia I'm officially 30! I'm not sure if the Khmer people start counting your birth once you are in the womb like the Korean people do. (Korean age I am 31...) Today we started off the day by learning how to meditate by being int he moment, focusing, breathing. In the evening we went and watched a traditional dance performance. I highly recommend spending a birthday in a different land with great friends and loved ones traveling with you. Today was GREAT! Thank you! Enjoy!

Once again, thank you to Apollo for not only getting video but also surprising me with a beautiful and delicious cherry chocolate cake! A family from Japan came over and took my picture too. ;) Oh and thank you to my two friends who told me they were watching this blog and traveling along my last 30 day journey with me. :D

2 Days Until I'm 30!

Today we took a hike to a waterfall. Although the water is really low this time of year we decided to take the challenge anyway. I really loved that not many people were around. When we got to the top you could see old carvings of Gods that were placed in the stone on the river bed. The ancient people carved them so the water flowing down stream would be blessed. Along the walk up there we saw moths and butterflies all over. One little guy kept landing on my hand. When we arrived at the waterfall my breath was taken away. Hunderds of butterflies were just hanging around. It felt very magical and it was so perfect for my last day as a 29 year old. I could have stayed here all day.
Enjoy!

Thank you to Apollo for getting this video of me. If no one was around I'm sure I would be crying with joy. I may or may not have been crying secretly.

3 Days Until I'm 30!

The night market is just as beautiful when the sun goes down. I'm not sure why they call it the Night Market when it's open all day long. As you walk around and peek into the shops you hear "Hey lady, need something?" if you say "No thank you" they don't try and grab you or pressure you. (If you hang around they usually start showing you things.)  I'm loving it here!
Enjoy!

4 Days Until I'm 30!

I got what I came for. This is the place I wanted to see in Cambodia, tree's covering ancient buildings. I have to say being here in person is such a completely different feeling that what any photo can give you. Today I feel so very lucky to be able to travel the world and cross off another item on my bucket list! Here we are at Angkor Wat in the temple called  Ta Prohm.
Enjoy!

5 Days Until I'm 30!

Our hotel is conveniently located next to the Old Market. For some this place could be a bit over whelming. Lots of things to see and lots of people. Your nose takes in a million different smells as you walk passed the food market. Thankfully in Korea I have been to  shops in  Dongdaemun and the rows and rows of fish at the fish market so this place wasn't too crazy for me. One thing that is refreshing here is that people don't seem to mind if you take pictures of their store or of them. Of course you should be courteous  and ask to take someones photo before you shove a camera in their face. One thing I'm loving is if you smile at someone here they smile back!  I hope the Khmer people never lose that smile.
Enjoy!
