Salt Lake City Photographer: Fuji Instax Camera!

My new favorite camera to bring along to my sessions is my Fuji Instax camera! Everyone had one when we lived in South Korea and my husband surprised me with my very own for my Birthday this year! :) This is a great gift to give to families after a session so they don't leave empty handed. Plus the kids think it's so cool to see the photo develop. Sometimes I use it as a way for kids who are starting to lose focus, it totally works! I'm SO happy that instant film is back!

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

HI GUYS! Anyone know where November went? Sorry I have been MIA on here... it's because we just MOVED! I'm SO excited and stressed and honestly a bit overwhelmed. We just got the internet up and running and that's a good thing so I can get you guys your photos! If you saw the inside of this house right now you would run away in horror. We have boxes up-to-here and SO much painting to do it's insane. My desk is up in my office but boxes and photo equipment are taking over the rest of the room. Everything has it's place and soon the house will be put together. YAY! It's now DECEMBER and I'm looking forward to all the holiday parties ahead.  Lots of posts soon to come! For now, check out the pictures my sister snapped of us. I think she did pretty good for not even knowing where to look in the camera when I handed her the thing. ;)

Photo Fun Day Again!

Nearly a year later and I'm posting a really fun night I had with my very talented photography friends.   (Yikes a year!!??) We all were feeling like it was time to take a break from family portraits and have some fun hanging out taking portraits of each other. We share tips and try out new props. It's always a good time doing a fun photo shoot with friends.

Salt Lake City Photographer: Ice Castles!

Okay so this post is a couple of weeks late but I took over 300 photos and it's hard to pick out my absolute favorites because this place is amazing! Ice Castles in Midway is about an hour give or take from Salt Lake City and luckily we chose a great day to go. We heard it gets pretty busy on the weekends so we went on a weekday and the crowds weren't too bad. I highly recommend going before sunset and return after the sun goes down, they give you a hand stamp so you can return and see the pretty lights. Another plus is they offer military discounts! YAY! Due to the warmer weather they have already closed the Midway location but I highly suggest you go next year! If you want to know more click HERE and you will go to their website. :)

 Trying to achieve a nice a star shot while you are shivering is a very hard task. I will try again next year and bring a tripod instead of a mono pod. ;)
