Kaila!

It's been a while since I have had the chance to take some cute newborn photos and I am so grateful that Kaila was born before our move to Korea! This was also the first time I got to put our new backdrop blanket to good use! Our actual stands got lost in the mail so I just improvised with a couch as my stand! Haha I did some research and I found out that by using a diffuser helps with the newborns eyes sensitivity to the flash. I used my Gary Fong diffuser and turned it to the side and it worked just as great, if not better, for evening out the light. I darked most of the black in photoshop to make little Kaila really be the main focus in the photo's. I had lots of fun getting to know little Kaila and her many, many facial expressions! haha Welcome to world Kaila!!

Water and Balloons! (Part 1 Melissa!)

(Finally getting these up! We shot these back in October! 2009)

I am so blessed to have friends that are willing to take time out of their day and go on a photo shoot for me! My friend Melissa is afraid of the water and isn't to big on being in front of the camera. So what do I do? Ask her to model for me at the beach on a really windy crazy waves crashing day! Then we have Julia, she was helping me out on Melissa's photo shoot and she looked way to cute not to photograph so as the sun was going down we ran all over the place trying to get the perfect shot with the remaining light we had left. We had a lot of fun in La Jolla near Seal Beach (it's sad the seals have to go) =( THANK YOU GUYS! =) You are the best!!!

Katie and Danny

This was taken a while ago back when I lived in Utah. I used my little plasic Holga camera. It's really fun to use because it makes you feel like a kid again! (Well kids like me that liked to play with camera's haha) When you push the button to take the photo all you hear is a little "click" and you wonder if your photo's are actually going to turn out. I like the way the edges are dark due to light leaks, it gives it an "old timey" feel. These guys are seriously the cutest couple ever! All they do is laugh all the time, they are the greatest! Miss you guys!

The Greens!

I have been friends with Elly since middle school. Elly is a photographer herself and so her and I get together with our friend Sheena and take photos all the time. I went to Utah for a visit and her and her husband Kris let me take a few shots of them for some fun. (Kris is not the biggest fan of getting his picture taken so a special THANK YOU to him for being a model for a night haha)
